1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing our website at straclente.com, enrolling in our courses, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access our services.
2. Our Services
Straclente Speaking Academy provides public speaking courses, workshops, coaching, and related educational services both in-person and online. Our services include but are not limited to:
- Group workshops and classes
- Individual coaching sessions
- Corporate training programs
- Online courses and resources
- Speech writing assistance
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without notice.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on our website and in our courses, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, audio clips, video material, software, and course materials, is the property of Straclente Speaking Academy or our content suppliers and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of our materials without our express written consent.
Course materials provided to enrolled students are for personal, non-commercial use only. Sharing, reproducing, or distributing course materials with non-enrolled individuals is strictly prohibited.
4. User Accounts
When you create an account with us, you guarantee that the information you provide is accurate, complete, and current at all times. Inaccurate, incomplete, or obsolete information may result in the immediate termination of your account.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password and for restricting access to your computer. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account or password.
5. Course Policies
Attendance
For in-person courses, we expect students to arrive on time. Excessive tardiness or absences may result in removal from the course without refund.
Conduct
Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully during all courses and workshops. Disruptive behavior, harassment, or discrimination will not be tolerated and may result in removal from the course without refund.
Rescheduling
Requests to reschedule individual sessions must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in forfeiture of the session.
6. Payment Terms
Prices for courses and services are listed on our website or in our course catalogs. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified.
Payment is required at the time of registration for all courses and services. We accept payment by credit card, debit card, and electronic funds transfer.
For corporate training and packages, payment terms will be specified in the service agreement.
7. Refund Policy
Our refund policy varies by course type:
- Group Courses: Full refund if canceled 14 days or more before the start date. 50% refund if canceled 7-13 days before the start date. No refund for cancellations less than 7 days before the start date.
- Individual Coaching: Full refund if canceled 48 hours or more before the scheduled session. No refund for cancellations less than 48 hours before the session.
- Corporate Training: Refund policy will be specified in the service agreement.
In exceptional circumstances, we may consider refund requests outside of these policies on a case-by-case basis.
8. Prohibited Activities
You may not engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Violating any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempting to interfere with, compromise the system integrity or security, or decipher any transmissions to or from the servers running our services
- Taking any action that imposes an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure
- Uploading or transmitting viruses, malware, or other types of malicious software
- Using our services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Harassing, abusing, or threatening others
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Straclente Speaking Academy, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
- Your access to or use of or inability to access or use our services
- Any conduct or content of any third party on our services
- Any content obtained from our services
- Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
10. Term and Termination
These Terms shall remain in full force and effect while you use our services. We may terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms.
All provisions of the Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using our services.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.
